About the Role:

We’re looking for a talented Financial Accountant to join our Norwegian finance team and play a vital role in managing the finances of our local and group entities. You’ll be hands-on with day-to-day accounting while also contributing to the evolution of our global finance function. What You’ll Do:

📊 Closing & Reporting:

Take ownership of monthly and annual closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accrual preparation, and variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods. You’ll also manage cash flow forecasting and handle VAT submissions and other statutory tax declarations for our Norwegian entities.

📚 Accounting Principles & Procedures:

Work closely with the Finance Manager and our global team to develop and implement policies and guidelines across both Norwegian and group entities, ensuring compliance with best practices and company standards.

🔍 End-to-End Process Ownership:

Drive, enhance, and maintain key control processes to ensure accurate and complete accounting. Coordinate approvals for external invoices, employee expense claims, and intercompany reconciliations, including transfer pricing invoicing.

🤝 Stakeholder Management:

Be the bridge between finance and key stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, country managers, and internal teams. Effective communication and relationship-building will be central to your success in this role.

⚡⚡️Ideal Profile

• Proven Experience & Qualifications: Certified Accountant in Norway (or equivalent) with strong expertise in compliance, audit, and statutory reporting. Solid knowledge of Norwegian GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus.
  
• Industry Flexibility: While energy-sector experience is valuable, we welcome candidates from fast-growing industries who bring transferable skills.
  
• Efficiency Expert: You have a knack for process improvement and optimization.
  
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with accounting tools and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a big bonus).
  
• Excellent Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Norwegian—written and spoken.
