🚀🚀Job Mission
As People Generalist, you will be the operational heart of our House of People team ensuring that everything behind the scenes runs with clarity, accuracy, and care. You’ll take full ownership of our core HR operations in Germany and the Netherlands, including payroll, compliance, HR administration, and workplace safety.
You’ll also be the steward of a well-functioning and welcoming office environment, ensuring our teams have everything they need to do their best work, whether they're onboarding, settling into the office, or navigating change.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on structure, understands the importance of operational excellence in employee experience, and is confident working across borders and legal systems. You’ll work cross-functionally, improve systems and processes, and create a reliable foundation that supports our people as we grow.
What we're looking for⚡
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven professional with a strong HR operations background. Someone who knows how to get things done, but also sees the bigger picture. You’re fluent in English and German and confident in managing sensitive processes like payroll and compliance, and love building systems that scale. You bring structure without red tape, and you believe that great employee experiences start with operational clarity.
At Tibber, we work in a hybrid setup, spending around three days per week in the office.
🌍 Operational Tasks
Own and manage payroll for Germany and the Netherlands, coordinating with external providers
Take charge of HR administration – contracts, documentation, records, and compliance
Stay current and compliant with German and Dutch labor laws
Maintain and improve our HRIS (HiBob) – experience with HiBob is strongly preferred
Support employee lifecycle activities: onboarding, offboarding, role changes
🏢 Office & Workplace Management
Help oversee office operations, ensuring a well-equipped and welcoming space
Drive workplace safety measures, risk assessments, and compliance efforts
Manage vendor relationships and office-related budgets
Organize in-office experiences that enhance team connection and culture
🔧 Operational Excellence & Projects
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiency
Collaborate with Finance, IT, Legal, and managers across markets
Support company-wide projects that improve People operations and employee experience
⚡⚡️What you bring
4+ years generalistic HR experience, including at least 1 year in a senior role
Strong command of German labor law; Dutch employment law is a plus
Solid experience with payroll and HR administration
Proven experience working with HiBob or similar HRIS – HiBob strongly preferred
Fluency in English and German (written and verbal) is a must
High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset
Comfortable working independently, cross-functionally, and across border
Open to working in a hybrid set-up with regular presence at our office in Mitte
