About the Job

As a Data Engineer, you will build the foundation for our data-driven culture, by designing, developing and optimizing Tibbers data platform.

You will work with the latest technology and be an important part of Tibbers growing Data insights team, a team of data engineers and data analysts empowering all of Tibber to make data driven decisions.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Ensure the data from various sources are stored and modeled in an efficient way by designing data models, creating API connections and data pipelines.

• Work closely together with data engineers, data analysts, data scientists as well as  all the different areas of Tibber to understand data and analytics needs.

• Continuously develop our data lake house platform and improve how we work with data.

We’re looking for someone with:

• 1+ years of relevant Data engineer experience, with a degree or equivalent knowledge in computer science, engineering or a similar field.

• You are passionate about coding and have solid programming experience in Python and/or JavaScript.

• You are comfortable writing SQL queries, and working effectively with big data volumes in both relational databases and unstructured data.

• Experience with the AWS tech stack such as AWS Redshift, Glue as well as Airflow, Spark and DBT Cloud is a big plus.

• Basic experience of data analysis/visualization in Tableau or similar is a plus.

• You want to take responsibility, learn new skills and adapt new ways of working.

• Clear and effective communication skills.
